Rv Parking At The Welcome Center
The Welcome Center currently has three RV hookup sites for one night only, except during certain special events or with special permission. The sites have water, electricity, sewer and WI-FI. The cost for full hook-up is $25.00 per night. Use of the convenience stations for RV Campers is $5.00 and commercial buses is $15.00. All buses and campers must have a hose for the convenience stations. Parking only - no hookups is $10.00 per night. We do not take reservations. The sites are open year round except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Picnic tables are available on the North side of the center. Camp Karma is a primitive campground located on 42 acres in the beautiful region of Bedford, Virginia. We off 37 primitive campsites which are primarily for tent campers. Some sites are available for small trailers up to 26 feet. 15 sites with Electric hook-ups (10 are 10 and 20 amp, 5 are 20/30 amp). We offer a back to nature approach to camping and family enjoyment. Camp Karma borders 2100 feet of Goose Creek where you can fish and swim. Camp Karma is also conveniently located just 5 miles from Smith Mountain Lake and 3 miles from Downtown Moneta. This area hosts a number of great restaurants, shops and boating opportunities.

Join us for live Zydeco music and the party of the year in Bedford! Just as last year the band, Zydeco Crazy, not only gives us great sound, but instructs in Cajun dancing as well. Once again we will have tons of crawfish to be steamed, mounds of mouthwatering gumbo, delicious red beans and rice and my "all-time favorite" -- crawfish etouffee for our delight. Beer and wine can be purchased as well as sodas and water.   • May 27 - Remembering Their Sacrifice - 11:00am - The Memorial commemorates Memorial Day with a special ceremony to officially recognize the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedoms. A number of plaques will be dedicated to commemorate various elements of D-Day. The program begins at 11am. Admission is free until noon. There will be a ceremony at the National D-Day Memorial including special music and speakers. Tours will be provided throughout the day.
