Potters, painters, blacksmiths, quilters, woodworkers, and a multitude of other artisans carry on traditions and explore new horizons with their craft. Local farms tap into the creative force of the land to produce fruit, vegetables, meat, honey, fiber, herbs and flowers. Spend some time on the Bedford Artisan Trail for a first-hand experience with these local artisans and agri-artisan farms. In addition, you can enjoy the a world-class meal at one of many locally owned restaurants and take in the warm hospitality of a historically restored bed and breakfast. Visit the Center to appreciate ever changing art exhibits including an annual National Juried Exhibit, judged theme exhibits, invitational ones and a special exhibit of local school art students’ work. See artists at work in their studio and enjoy monthly musical concerts and performances held in what was an 1840 church sanctuary with outstanding acoustics. Participate in a variety of adult and youth classes including our very popular Summer Arts Camps, attend Bedford’s Second Friday and Artisan Trail events and experience a taste of New Orleans with our annual springtime Crawfish Boil. For additional information, schedules, and ticket information on regional cultural events, contact the Center. Open Tuesday through Saturday 11:00am to 4:00pm. The Center will be keeping altered schedules for the next several months because of a major construction project.
Goose Creek Studio offers quality custom framing and hospitable exhibition space featuring regional artists and artists working at the intersection of faith and creative expression. Hours of operation are Tuesday – Saturday 9:30am to 5:30pm.

The Cornerstone Gallery is located in Bower Center for the Arts. Five artists are represented; potters, Gene and Sally Carter, mosaic/concrete/mixed media artist Bonnie Kinnaird and mosaic artists Dotti Stone and Sergei Troubetzkoy.
A unique shop which features wood carvings by a number of decoy artists from New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and various other states throughout the United States. In the shop visitors will find working and decorative, vintage and new decoys by R. Madison Mitchell, Jimmy Pierce, Bob McGaw, Captain Harry, Bobby, Charles, and Joey Jobes, as well as Pat Vincenti, Bill Collins, Capt. Vernon Bryant, Dave Walker, Paul Gibson, Jim Holly, George Bell, Charlie Joiner. Charlie Bryan, Bryan Bodt, Joe Racine, Nick Sapone, Rick Brown, Ken Kirby, Harry Schourds, Clarence Fennimore, David Rhodes, Dave Kaufman, Pete Peterson, Pete Palumbo, Frank Finney, Curtis Waterfield and others. A wide variety of ducks, geese, swans and shorebirds are available; most of the pieces are signed and dated. Hours are Thursday from Noon -5:00 pm, Friday from 10:00am- 5:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm or by appointment. Second Fridays 10:00am to 8:00pm.
